Bishop made his screen debut as Tommy Horton in the 1983 film *Terms of Endearment*. He later appeared in *Scream* (1996) as Expelled Teen #1 and in guest roles on series including *Scrubs* (2001) and *Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23* (2012).

He graduated from Stanford University and is a licensed private pilot. Bishop has been married to Brandy L. Bickford since 2003.
