## Biography

Tsumami Edamame, also known by the real name Takahiko Aoki and stage name つまみ枝豆, is a Japanese actor and comedian. Born on 1 June 1958 in Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture, he is a member of Beat Takeshi's troupe Takeshi's Army and has appeared regularly on associated variety programmes.

He has taken supporting roles in several films directed by Takeshi Kitano. These include *Boiling Point* (1990), in which he was credited as Takahiko Aoki and played Saburou; *Fireworks* (1997), as the Businessman Throwing Rocks; and *Zatoichi* (2003), as the Carpenter. He has also worked in television and other films, and serves as representative director of the agency TAP, formerly Office Kitano. His wife is the announcer Tomomi Eguchi.
