## Biography

Tsunehiko Kamijō (also credited as Tsunehiko Kamijô) was a Japanese singer, actor and voice actor. He began his career as a singer in 1962 and appeared in numerous stage musicals, including long-running productions of *Man of La Mancha*. He also featured in live-action films and television dramas, among them several NHK taiga series.

Kamijō was known for his voice work in Studio Ghibli films directed by Hayao Miyazaki. He voiced Gonza in *Princess Mononoke* (1997), Chichiyaku in *Spirited Away* (2001) and the Mamma Aiuto Gang Boss in *Porco Rosso* (1992). He died on 22 July 2025 in Nagano, Japan, aged 85.
