Tulsi Chakraborty (also spelled Tulsi Chakrabarti) was an Indian actor and comedian who worked primarily in Bengali cinema from the 1940s to the 1950s. He began his career on the stage in 1920 with a debut in the play *Durgeshnandini* and made his film debut in *Punarjanmo* (1932).

Chakraborty appeared in over 300 films and theatre productions, often in character and comic roles. He is known for his performance as Prasanna, the village schoolteacher, in Satyajit Ray’s *Pather Panchali* (1955), and for his lead role as Paresh Chandra Dutta in Ray’s *Parash Pathar* (1958). Other notable appearances include *Sharey Chuattor* (1953) and films starring Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen such as *Ekti Raat* and *Chaowa Pawa*.
