He does it with more grace than the part usually gets, and it is a part with a shelf life. Two children are talking at once. One wants to know about death, the other is explaining why none of it was his fault, and their parents are trying to hold a conversation over the top of it. At the end of the table is a third child who is saying nothing and would like the floor to open. That is Jake Brockman in *Outnumbered* (2007), and it is the part Tyger Drew-Honey has been handed, in one form or another, ever since. Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin wrote lines for the parents and let the children say whatever came into their heads, and Ramona Marquez and Daniel Roche ran with it. Drew-Honey, the eldest, was given more of the written material and the harder job, which was to be the embarrassed one while the other two ran riot. It is the least showy job in the house.
