## Biography

Tyler Bensinger is an American screenwriter, television writer, producer and film director. He grew up in Los Angeles, attended the Webb School of California, earned a B.A. in English from Yale University and an MFA from UCLA Film School.

He began his career writing and directing the feature film *Just Looking* (1995). Bensinger moved into television in the late 1990s and has written episodes for numerous series, including *Cold Case* (2003), *The Good Wife* (2009), *Masters of Sex* (2013), *Nashville* (2012), *Notorious* (2016) and *This Is Us* (2016). He has also served as a producer on several of these programmes. Bensinger received a Writers Guild of America Award nomination for *Masters of Sex* and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for *This Is Us*.
