Valerie C. Woods is an American television writer and producer. Born on 1 November 1962 in Chicago, Illinois, she began her career after receiving a Screenwriting Fellowship with Walt Disney Studios in 1993. She has been a member of the Writers Guild of America, West for over twenty-five years.

Her credits include work on *Touched by an Angel* (1994), *Any Day Now*, *Soul Food*, *Queen Sugar* (season 4, 2018–19), and *Sweet Magnolias* (season 2, 2021–22), where she served as writer and co-executive producer. She later worked as co-executive producer and writer on the Disney+ series *The Crossover* (2023) and the Apple TV+ mini-series *The Big Cigar* (2024). One episode of *Any Day Now* received a GLAAD Media Award nomination. She has several projects in development through her company MCV Productions.
