Valerie Chu is a television writer and former production staff member. She began her career in the production department on *Nashville* (2012), working as production staff on two episodes in 2014–2015, before receiving a writing credit on the series in 2016.

Her subsequent writing credits include an episode of *Queen Sugar* (2017), staff writer on three episodes of *Tracker* (2024), and multiple episodes of *The Pitt* (2025–2026), where she has served as story editor and executive story editor. She previously worked as a writers' assistant on *Better Call Saul* (2020–2022). Chu has received Emmy nominations and other awards recognition for her work.
