## Biography

Valerie Leon is an English actress and model. Born in London in 1943, she began her career as a trainee fashion buyer at Harrods before appearing as a chorus girl and making her West End debut in *Funny Girl* with Barbra Streisand.

She is known for roles in six *Carry On* films, including *Carry On Camping* (1969) as Miss Dobbin, and two James Bond films: *The Spy Who Loved Me* (1977) as a hotel receptionist and *Never Say Never Again* (1983) as the Lady in Bahamas. Other credits include *The Italian Job* (1969), *Blood from the Mummy's Tomb* (1971) in a dual role, *Revenge of the Pink Panther* (1978) and *The Wild Geese* (1978). She also appeared in television series such as *The Avengers*, *The Saint* and *The Persuaders!*.

In the 1970s Leon featured in the Hai Karate aftershave television advertisements.
