## Biography

Victoria Mitchell was a Canadian actress and casting director. Born on 13 February 1933, she appeared in a number of Canadian television productions during the 1960s and 1970s, including episodes of *Festival*, *Playdate* and *Scarlett Hill*, and played First Witch and Gentlewoman in the 1961 television film *Macbeth*.

She also worked in casting on several feature films, serving as casting director on *City on Fire* (1979), *The Last Chase* (1981) and *Hot Money* (1986). Mitchell appeared as a storyteller in Sarah Polley’s documentary *Stories We Tell* (2012). She died on 10 May 2016 in Toronto.
