## Biography

Viktor Lutze was a German Nazi Party functionary and commander of the Sturmabteilung (SA). He succeeded Ernst Röhm as Stabschef and Reichsleiter.

Lutze appeared as himself in Leni Riefenstahl's *Triumph of the Will* (1935), delivering a speech as the new SA leader and participating in ceremonies alongside Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himmler. He died on 2 May 1943 following a car accident.
