## Biography

Vincent Louis DiCola is an American composer, keyboardist and arranger. After majoring in percussion at college, he moved to California in 1981 and began working as a session musician. His first major credit came in 1983 when he co-wrote several songs for the soundtrack of *Staying Alive* with Frank Stallone.

DiCola composed the original score for *Rocky IV* (1985) and for *The Transformers: The Movie* (1986). He received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song for "Far from Over" from *Staying Alive* and a Grammy nomination for the *Staying Alive* score album. He has continued to work as a composer, arranger and performer, including on video game soundtracks.
