Virgil W. Vogel (29 November 1919 – 1 January 1996) was an American television and film director. Born in Peoria, Illinois, he began his career at Universal Pictures as an assistant editor in 1940 and worked as an editor on films including *Touch of Evil* (1958). He made his directorial debut with the science-fiction film *The Mole People* (1956) and directed a small number of other features before concentrating on television.

Vogel directed episodes of numerous series over nearly five decades, including *Wagon Train*, *Bonanza*, *The Big Valley*, *Mission: Impossible* (1966), *The Six Million Dollar Man*, *Knight Rider*, *Airwolf*, *Magnum, P.I.*, *Miami Vice*, *Quantum Leap* and *Walker, Texas Ranger*. He was the nephew of cinematographer Lee Garmes.
