## Biography

Virginia Huston was an American actress. Born Virginia Houston on 24 April 1925 in Wisner, Nebraska, she changed the spelling of her surname early in her career. She attended Duchesne Catholic School for Girls in Omaha and performed in stage productions there and at the Omaha Community Playhouse before moving to Los Angeles.

She signed with RKO in 1945. Her films include *Nocturne* (1946), *Out of the Past* (1947) as Ann Miller, *Flamingo Road* (1949), *The Racket* (1951), *Tarzan's Peril* (1951) as Jane, and *Sudden Fear* (1952). She also appeared in several other films and on television until 1954.

Huston suffered a broken back in an automobile accident shortly before filming *Tarzan's Peril*. She retired from acting after marrying real estate agent Manus Paul Clinton II in 1952. She died of cancer on 28 February 1981 in Santa Monica, California.
