## Biography

Virginia North (born Virginia Anne Northrop; 24 April 1946 – 5 June 2004) was a British model and actress. The daughter of an American army officer and a British mother, she grew up in several countries before settling in London, where she worked as a model with the agency Models 1.

She appeared in small roles in five films and one television programme between 1967 and 1971. Her credits include Brenda in *Deadlier Than the Male* (1967), Champa in *The Long Duel* (1967), Robot No. 9 in *Some Girls Do* (1969), Olympe in *On Her Majesty's Secret Service* (1969), Francoise Simone in an episode of the series *Department S* (1969), and Vulnavia in *The Abominable Dr. Phibes* (1971).

In 1974 she married industrialist Gordon White; the marriage ended in divorce in 1991. She became Lady White when her husband received a knighthood in 1979.
