## Biography

W. Thomas Snyder, also credited as Tom Snyder, is an American director and assistant director. He began working in film as a second assistant director in the late 1980s on features including *Young Guns* (1988), *The Milagro Beanfield War* (1988), *Wild at Heart* (1990) and *Only You* (1994).

Snyder has worked extensively in television as a first assistant director on series such as *Weeds*, *GLOW* and *Reverie*. He directed two episodes of *The Mentalist* (2008) in 2014 and 2015. He received a Directors Guild of America Award in 2000 for outstanding directorial achievement in movies for television.
