Walter Catlett was an American actor and comedian. He began his career in vaudeville and on the stage, making his Broadway debut in 1916, before appearing in films from the late 1920s.

Catlett is known for roles including Slocum in *Bringing Up Baby* (1938), Morrow in *Mr. Deeds Goes to Town* (1936), the theatre manager in *Yankee Doodle Dandy* (1942) and the voice of Honest John in *Pinocchio* (1940). He also appeared in *The Front Page* (1931) and *Friendly Persuasion* (1956). He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
