## Biography

Walter Lundin (20 April 1892 – 21 June 1954) was an American cinematographer. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he began working in film around 1915 and became the principal cinematographer for comedian Harold Lloyd, collaborating with him and producer Hal Roach for nearly two decades.

Lundin photographed many of Lloyd’s best-known silent features, including *Safety Last!* (1923), *Girl Shy* (1924), *The Freshman* (1925), *For Heaven’s Sake* (1926) and *The Kid Brother* (1927). He continued with Lloyd into the sound era on films such as *Welcome Danger* (1929), *Movie Crazy* (1932) and *The Cat’s-Paw* (1934). He also worked on several Laurel and Hardy comedies for Roach, including *The Laurel-Hardy Murder Case* (1930), *Bonnie Scotland* (1935), *The Bohemian Girl* (1936) and *Way Out West* (1937). Later in his career he shot shorts and other features until the early 1950s.
