## Biography

Warren Stevens was an American actor. Born in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, he trained at the Actors Studio in New York and made his Broadway debut in *The Life of Galileo* (1947). He later signed a contract with 20th Century Fox and appeared in films including *The Frogmen* (1951), *Phone Call from a Stranger* (1952) and *Gorilla at Large* (1954).

Stevens is known for his supporting role as Kirk Edwards in *The Barefoot Contessa* (1954) and as Lt. 'Doc' Ostrow in *Forbidden Planet* (1956). He worked extensively in television from the 1950s to the 1980s, with guest appearances in series such as *Star Trek* (1968), *The Twilight Zone* (1962), *M*A*S*H* (1972) and *Bonanza*. He died in 2012.
