## Biography

Wasiq Khan (1975 – 5 May 2025) was an Indian production designer and art director who worked primarily in Bollywood. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi in 1996 and began his career as a backdrop painter before assisting art director Samir Chanda on films including *Iruvar* (1997).

Khan collaborated frequently with director Anurag Kashyap on films such as *Black Friday* (2004), *Gulaal* (2009), *That Girl in Yellow Boots* (2010) and *Gangs of Wasseypur* (2012). He also worked on mainstream productions including *Wanted* (2009), *Dabangg* (2010), *Tanu Weds Manu* (2011), *Raanjhanaa* (2013) and *Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela* (2013). He received five wins and six nominations for his work.
