## Biography

Wayne Young is an Australian film producer. He produced the animated feature *FernGully: The Last Rainforest* (1992), which he developed with his then wife Diana Young, whose children's stories provided the inspiration. The project originated in Byron Bay, Australia, and took over a decade to reach the screen.

Young had earlier produced the Australian hit *Crocodile Dundee* (1986). He is also credited as producer on the documentary *The War on Democracy* (2007). His work has often focused on environmental themes.
