## Biography

Wendy Morgan is an English actress. Born in 1958 in Radlett, Hertfordshire, she trained and began her career in theatre, appearing in numerous productions at the National Theatre including *Yonadab*, *Martine* (for which she received Olivier and Evening Standard nominations), *A Streetcar Named Desire* and *Coriolanus*.

She won the Evening Standard British Film Award for Best Newcomer in 1980. On screen she is known for roles in *Yanks* (1979), *The Mirror Crack'd* (1980) and *84 Charing Cross Road* (1987), and for playing Susan Layton in the television series *The Jewel in the Crown* (1984). Later credits include appearances in *Casualty*, *Wire in the Blood* (2002) and *Edie* (2017).
