Wendy Straker Hauser is a television writer and producer. After a career in advertising she published the book *Sexy Jobs in the City* and wrote a column for the *New York Post*. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 36 to pursue work in television.

Her credits include writing episodes of *The Client List* (2013) and *Beauty and the Beast* (2013–2015). In 2017 she joined the staff of *The Handmaid's Tale* as co-producer and wrote the teleplay for the episode "A Woman's Place". She later served as writer and showrunner on *The Bold Type* (2017–2021) and contributed to *Motorheads* (2025). She received Writers Guild of America awards for her work on *The Handmaid's Tale*.
