Wenonah Wilms is a screenwriter and producer. She wrote one episode of the fourth season of the television series *True Detective* (2024) and has contributed to *Dark Winds* (2022) as a writer and story editor. Her other credits include the feature *Darby and the Dead* (2022), for which she received a story credit, and several shorts and series such as *Fem 101* (2019) and *Waabooz* (2016).

Born and raised in Minneapolis, Wilms is an enrolled member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. She began screenwriting in her thirties while a stay-at-home mother. She won the Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting for her screenplay *Horsehead Girls* and has received other awards, including a Writers Guild of America nomination for *True Detective*.
