## Biography

H. Wesley Kenney, also credited as Wes Kenney or H. Wesley Kenney, was an American television director and producer. After studying drama at the Carnegie Institute of Technology, he began working in the early 1950s at the DuMont Television Network, directing live broadcasts. His later primetime directing credits include episodes of *All in the Family* (1974–1975) and the pilot for *The Jeffersons*.

Kenney spent much of his career in daytime television. He produced and directed *Days of Our Lives* from 1968 to 1979, served as co-executive producer on *The Young and the Restless* from 1982 to 1987, and as executive producer on *General Hospital* from 1987 to 1989. He won multiple Daytime Emmy Awards for producing and directing. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, in 1926 and died in Santa Monica, California, in 2015. He married actress Heather North in 1971.
