## Biography

Wiesława Starska is a Polish costume designer. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków with a specialisation in artistic textiles. Her film credits from the 1970s onward include work on several productions directed by Andrzej Wajda.

She designed costumes for *Man of Marble* (1977), *Man of Iron* (1981), *Without Anesthesia* (1978) and *The Maids of Wilko* (1979). Other credits include *Europa Europa* (1990) directed by Agnieszka Holland, *No End* (1985) directed by Krzysztof Kieślowski and *Jakob the Liar* (1999). She has frequently collaborated with her husband, production designer Allan Starski, and has also worked in theatre and television.
