William Lyon, also credited as William A. Lyon, was an American film editor. He worked primarily at Columbia Pictures from the mid-1930s until the early 1970s.

Lyon received Academy Award nominations for Best Film Editing six times and won twice: for *From Here to Eternity* (1953) and *Picnic* (1955).
