## Biography

William D. Byrd was an American actor. He played Danny in the 1986 film *Children of a Lesser God*.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Byrd attended the Model Secondary School for the Deaf and earned a drama degree from Gallaudet College. He appeared in guest roles on television series including *Beauty and the Beast* (1989) as Miguel and *A Man Called Hawk* (1989).

Byrd died of heart failure on 21 July 1993 in Inglewood, California, aged 27.
