William D. Gordean is an American film editor. Born in Los Angeles in 1944, he began his career in the early 1970s as an assistant editor and progressed to film editor by the late 1970s.

His editing credits include *Smokey and the Bandit II* (1980), *The Cannonball Run* (1981), *Sharky's Machine* (1981), *Cannonball Run II* (1984), *Stick* (1985), *Legal Eagles* (1986), *Dragnet* (1987), *The Great Outdoors* (1988), *Black Rain* (1989, additional editor), *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles* (1990), *Beethoven* (1992) and *Beethoven's 2nd* (1993). He also worked as supervising film editor on *Legend* (1985) and as executive co-producer on *Stick* (1985).

Gordean has been married to Carol Craig since 1970.
