William LeVanway was an American film editor. He was born on 7 September 1896 in Portland, Oregon, and died on 1 November 1957 in Hollywood, California.

LeVanway worked for many years at MGM, where he served as head of the studio's film editorial department. He edited *A Night at the Opera* (1935) and *China Seas* (1935), and received supervising editor credit on *An American in Paris* (1951). Other credits include *Fury* (1936) and *Possessed* (1931). He retired in the summer of 1956 after 32 years at the studio.
