William Lucas, born William Thomas Clucas, was an English actor who worked in film, television, theatre and radio.

Born in Manchester in 1925, he won a scholarship to the Northern Theatre School and began his career in provincial theatre as an assistant stage manager at the Chesterfield Civic Theatre. His screen debut came in the mid-1950s; among his film roles was William Morel in *Sons and Lovers* (1960).

On television he appeared in series including *The Avengers*, *Coronation Street* and *Doctor Who*, and played Dr James Gordon in *The Adventures of Black Beauty* (1972–1974). He died in London in 2016.
