## Biography

William Morgan Sheppard (1932–2019) was a British actor. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 1958, and spent twelve years as an associate artist with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He appeared on Broadway in *Marat/Sade* (1966) and *Sherlock Holmes* (1975).

Sheppard had supporting roles in films including *The Elephant Man* (1980), *Wild at Heart* (1990) as Mr. Reindeer, *Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country* (1991), *Gettysburg* (1993), *The Prestige* (2006), *Transformers* (2007) and *Star Trek* (2009). On television he appeared in *Max Headroom* (1987–1988), multiple *Star Trek* series, *Doctor Who* (2005) and *Dexter* (2006). He also worked extensively as a voice actor in animation and video games.

He was the father of actor Mark Sheppard.
