## Biography

William Rexer is an American cinematographer and member of the American Society of Cinematographers. Born in 1964, he grew up in a theatre family; his father was a producer and his mother ran a regional theatre company. He studied at Dartmouth College and began his career shooting documentaries and music videos before moving into features and television.

Rexer has shot numerous features including *Prime* (2005), *The Accidental Husband* (2008), *Friends with Kids* (2012) and *Movie 43* (2013). He has collaborated repeatedly with director Edward Burns and worked on the series *The Get Down* (2016) with Baz Luhrmann. More recent credits include episodes of *Hunters* (2020), *The Crowded Room* (2023) and the film *The Testament of Ann Lee* (2025), directed by Mona Fastvold.
