## Biography

William T. Cline (1915–1997) was an American cinematographer who worked primarily in television. He began his career in the film industry as a camera operator on features including *Hell Bound* (1957) and *Roadracers* (1959).

From the late 1960s he served as director of photography on numerous sitcoms. His credits include *He & She* (1967–1968), *The Governor & J.J.* (1969–1970), *The Mary Tyler Moore Show* (1974–1977, 72 episodes), *Phyllis* (1975) and *M*A*S*H* (1977–1979, 26 episodes). He later contributed to *My Sister Sam* (1986).
