William Tracy (1 December 1917 – 18 July 1967) was an American character actor. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Art and began his career on the Broadway stage, appearing in the 1937 production of *Brother Rat* as Misto Bottome.

He made his film debut recreating the role in the 1938 screen adaptation and went on to appear in *Angels with Dirty Faces* (1938), *The Shop Around the Corner* (1940) as Pepi Katona, *Tobacco Road* (1941) and *Mr. & Mrs. Smith* (1941).
