William Wood is an American television writer and producer born on 6 October 1931.

He wrote the story for the 1970 *Mission: Impossible* episode "My Friend, My Enemy" and the teleplay for the 1964 *The Fugitive* episode "Rat in a Corner", the latter credited under the pseudonym William Morwood. He created and wrote for the 1977 series *Big Hawaii*.

His other credits include episodes of *Kaz* and numerous television films such as *Death Car on the Freeway* (1979) and *Murder in New Hampshire: The Pamela Smart Story* (1991). He is married to Jeanne Dougherty.
