## Biography

Willie Ross was an English actor. He began his career as a comedian on the North East club circuit, forming the double act Lambert and Ross with Peter Lambert in 1968; the partnership lasted until 1988.

Ross moved into acting in the late 1980s. His film roles include Sue's Father in *Rita, Sue and Bob Too* (1987), Roy in *The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover* (1989) and Gus Siddon in *Riff-Raff* (1991). Television appearances include episodes of *One Foot in the Grave* (1990) and *Brass Eye* (1997).

He died in February 2000, aged 61, following an accident at home.
