## Biography

Wilson Yip Wai-shun is a Hong Kong filmmaker, screenwriter and actor. He began working in the film industry in the 1980s as a production assistant and later as an assistant director before making his directorial debut with the 1995 horror anthology *01:00 A.M.*.

Yip is best known for directing *Bio Zombie* (1998), *SPL: Sha Po Lang* (2005), *Flash Point* (2007) and the *Ip Man* series (2008–2019). He has also produced films including *Limbo* (2021) and *Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In* (2024). He received a Hong Kong Film Critics Society Award for best screenplay for *Bullets Over Summer* (1999).
