## Biography

Wulf Hein is a German experimental archaeologist and archaeotechnician. Born in 1959, he is based in Dorn-Assenheim and has worked independently in the field since 1990, following a carpentry apprenticeship. He specialises in reconstructing prehistoric tools, buildings, clothing and musical instruments using period methods.

Hein also works as a model maker, author and illustrator, and serves as a scientific advisor and on-screen contributor to documentary films and television productions about prehistory. He appeared as himself in the 2010 documentary *Cave of Forgotten Dreams*, directed by Werner Herzog, and has featured in other programmes including *Lost Worlds and Hidden Treasures* (2021) and episodes of *Civilisations* (2018).
