## Biography

Wyott Ordung was an American writer, actor and director. Born in Shanghai, China, on 23 May 1922, he served as a warrant officer in the United States Army during the Second World War before working in Hollywood.

He received the screenplay credit for the science-fiction film *Robot Monster* (1953) and the story credit for *First Man into Space* (1959). Other writing credits include *Target Earth* (1954), *Walk the Dark Street* (1956) and *Combat Squad* (1953). He also directed *Monster from the Ocean Floor* (1954) and *Walk the Dark Street* (1956), and appeared as an actor in several films and television series, including episodes of *Dick Tracy*.

Ordung died in California on 25 August 2005.
