## Biography

Yasuei Yagi, also credited as Yagi Yasuei, was a Japanese sculptor and modeler. With his brother Kanju Yagi, he formed the Yagi Brothers and contributed to the construction of monster suits for Toho's tokusatsu films.

Their work began with *Godzilla* (1954) and continued on titles including *Godzilla Raids Again* (1955), *Mothra vs. Godzilla* (1964), *Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster* (1964), *Son of Godzilla* (1967) and *All Monsters Attack* (1969). Some databases credit them with costume design on these productions.

Following Kanju's death in 1966, Yasuei worked alone on later films such as *Ebirah, Horror of the Deep* (1966), *Destroy All Monsters* (1968) and *Space Amoeba* (1970).
