## Biography

Yōsuke Kubozuka is a Japanese actor and musician. Born on 7 May 1979 in Yokosuka, Kanagawa, he graduated from Kanagawa Prefectural Yokosuka High School. He began his career as a model before debuting as an actor in the 1995 television series *Kindaichi Case Files*. He gained early recognition for roles in *GTO* (1998) and *Ikebukuro West Gate Park* (2000).

In 2001, Kubozuka received the Japan Academy Prize for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Newcomer of the Year for his performance in *Go*. His film credits include *Ping Pong* (2002), *Himizu* (2012), *Helter Skelter* (2012), *Silence* (2016) as Kichijiro, and *Tokyo Tribe* (2014). On television, he has appeared as Yuto Mori in *Giri/Haji* (2019) and Naoki Hayama in *Tokyo Vice* (2022). He has also performed in stage productions directed by Yukio Ninagawa.
