## Biography

Yûko Nakamura is a Japanese actress. She was born on 7 January 1975 in Fukui, Japan, and graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies with a degree in Italian.

Nakamura made her film debut in *Firefly* (Hotaru, 2000). She won the best actress award at the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema in 2001 for the role. Other film credits include *Strawberry Shortcakes* (2006), for which she received the best supporting actress award at the 28th Yokohama Film Festival, *Our Little Sister* (2015) and *Moonlit Winter* (2019). She voiced a character in the animated film *5 Centimeters per Second* (2007) and played Rei Mori in the series *Giri/Haji* (2019).
