## Biography

Yuzuru Aizawa, also credited as Jo Aizawa, was a Japanese cinematographer. He worked on numerous Toho productions from the 1940s onwards, beginning as an assistant camera operator on early kaiju films.

His credits as director of photography include *Godzilla vs. Megalon* (1973), *Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla* (1974), *The Bad Sleep Well* (1960) and *Two in the Shadow* (1967). He also contributed to later entries in the Godzilla series and other genre films such as *The War in Space* (1977).

Aizawa was born on 9 November 1924 and died on 22 November 2012.
