Zach Gilford is an American actor. He graduated from Northwestern University and began his career with guest roles in series such as *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (2005) and *Grey's Anatomy* (2009).

He is known for his portrayal of Matt Saracen in the NBC series *Friday Night Lights* (2006–2011). Later credits include Shane in *The Purge: Anarchy* (2014), Gregg in *Good Girls* (2018–2021), Riley Flynn in the Netflix series *Midnight Mass* (2021), and Young Roderick Usher in *The Fall of the House of Usher* (2023).
