Zach McGowan is an American actor. He is known for his roles as Captain Charles Vane in the television series *Black Sails* (2014–2016), Jody Silverman in *Shameless* (2012–2013), Roan in *The 100* (2014–2016), Anton Ivanov in *Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.* (2017–2018), and Dogknott in *The Boys* (2019–) and *Gen V* (2023–).

McGowan was raised in New York and performed in off-Broadway productions from 2003. He moved to Los Angeles in 2005. His film credits include *Terminator Salvation* (2009) as Soldier on Osprey, *Dracula Untold* (2014) as Shkelgim, *The Scorpion King: Book of Souls* (2018) and *Robert the Bruce* (2019). He has also worked in voice-over for video games and advertisements.

McGowan married Emily Johnson in 2008.
