Zach Shields is an American screenwriter, producer and director. He frequently collaborates with director Michael Dougherty, co-writing the screenplay for *Krampus* (2015) and *Godzilla: King of the Monsters* (2019), and contributing to the story for *Godzilla vs. Kong* (2021). He has also served as executive producer or consulting producer on several of these projects and related television work, including *Monarch: Legacy of Monsters*.

Shields began his career with the short film *The Most Beautiful Thing* (2006). He is a member of the gothic rock duo Dead Man's Bones alongside actor Ryan Gosling.
