Zakir Hussain (also credited as Zakir Hussain Qureshi) was an Indian tabla player, composer and percussionist. Born in Mumbai on 9 March 1951, he was the son of tabla player Alla Rakha. He died in San Francisco on 15 December 2024.

Hussain contributed to film soundtracks including *Apocalypse Now* (1979) and composed for *Heat and Dust* (1983), in which he also acted. He appeared as Tabla Maestro in *Monkey Man* (2024) and provided music for the film. He received the Padma Vibhushan and won four Grammy Awards.
