## Biography

Ziwe Fumudoh is an American comedian, writer and actress. Born Ziwerekoru Fumudoh on 27 February 1992 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, she graduated from Northwestern University with a double major in radio, television and film and African American studies, and a minor in creative writing.

She created the YouTube comedy series *Baited with Ziwe* in 2017. Fumudoh has written for *Desus & Mero* (2018–2020) and *Dickinson* (2019), appearing in the latter as Sojourner Truth. She starred in and executive produced the Showtime variety series *Ziwe* (2021–2022) and published the essay collection *Black Friend* in 2023.

Her acting credits include Sophie Iwobi in *Succession* (2021), voice work as Amelia in *The Great North* (2021), Audrey in *Shell* (2024) and a role in *The Studio* (2025).
