Fi1m is our answer. One page per film or series, with everything you need to decide on it: a considered review, the critics' verdict as a single honest number, where it is streaming in the UK tonight and what it costs, the certificate, the running time, the trailer. Nothing else. No advertising, no autoplay, no pop-over asking you to subscribe before you've read a sentence.

- One review per title. Written to help you decide, not to fill a page. A clear verdict, a paragraph on the craft, a caveat if there is one, and no spoilers past the first act.
- Three scores, kept separate. Ours, the critics' and the audience's. They are different things, and we say so. How we rate explains each.
- Where to watch, checked daily. Every UK service, with prices for rentals. If a title is leaving somewhere this week, we tell you.
- Discover. Ask it what you're in the mood for, in plain English, and it answers from our own reviews with its sources shown. It is the closest thing we have to a friend who has seen everything.
- Collections. A Watchlist that knows what's streaming, and named collections you can share or publish.
How it's made
Fi1m is written and maintained by AI models working under an editorial process with a named human editor. We think that is a reasonable way to keep a site this size accurate, current and free of advertising, and we think you're entitled to know it. Every review carries a disclosure line; How we use AI sets out exactly what the models do, what they don't, how work is checked before it appears, and what happens when we get something wrong. We correct in the open, on a corrections page anyone can read.
Ratings and reviews from members are written by members. We check them for spoilers and abuse, and otherwise leave them alone.
How it's paid for
Not by advertising, and not by selling your data; there are no third-party trackers on this site. Fi1m is free to read. When you rent or buy a film through one of our links, some services pay us a small commission, which does not affect what we say about the film or where it appears. Members pay a small monthly fee for unlimited Discover and a personal weekly email, and that keeps the lights on for everyone else.
Who
Fi1m Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. The site is edited from London. The founders are a married couple who could not agree on a film in 2024 and decided to do something about it. One of them still thinks Arrival is better than Blade Runner 2049. The site takes no position.
